Notwithstanding the section on Manual Intervention, this will be the grossest post I make. Fiber is important in this battle; doctors will tell you ‘we still don’t know what causes acne’, well I think I do and I think it’s a combination of the things mentioned previously along with a sick colon. The idea is your body will push out toxins wherever it can and since your face skin is far more sensitive than, say, the bottoms of your feet, you see more of an effect.
Get 30 grams of fiber each day, make sure you’re pushing out healthy feces (sorry for the gross) at least once, but twice is better, each day. When I say healthy, I mean light brown, cylindrical, the size you’d want your GI tract to be, and sinking (fats float).
In addition, soluble fiber acts to absorb a lot of the garbage your body doesn’t need/shouldn’t have in it to begin with.
